Are you an experienced educator with the qualities and experience to support a small, dynamic, committed professional team? Do you love a challenge, and find excitement in the prospect of making a real difference to the quality of education and inclusion in Rwanda?
APIE wants to hear from you!
Job Title: APIE Lead Practitioner
Location: Umubano Primary School, Kigali, Rwanda
Contract: Full time for one year in the first instance
As APIE expands its brief beyond creating a Centre of Excellence in Early Childhood and Primary Education in Rwanda, and begins to work with a network of other education professionals to share best practice more widely, the need has arisen for the appointment of a new Lead Practitioner. Ideally, the post holder will have strengths in Maths/English as an Additional Language/Special Educational Needs.
This appointment will allow the Country Director to assume a more outward-facing role, as the Lead Practitioner will ensure that the quality of provision for the pupils of Umubano Primary School and the continued professional development of the staff is maintained. This is essential for UPS to become the hub of a teaching alliance.
