Welcome to APIE's first Newsletter
It has been a year of many firsts for us. We captured the first meeting between two Headteachers across the globe using digital technology, we held our first UK event to raise awareness of the important work we are doing and we saw the delight on the faces of Umubano Primary School’s students as they used paint for the first time in their lives. And now we would like to welcome you to our first newsletter.
Our first issue features footage of the first conversation between two Headteachers 4000 miles apart, reflects on why it is so important to build a culture of reading and gives you a pictorial view of six months' progress at Umubano Primary School.
We hope you enjoy reading about the latest developments in education in Rwanda and the story of a primary school that is redefining the meaning of internationalism in education.
